Katrina and her “What’s the FOSS?”

Looking for the House Bill 1716 that is being considered by the House of Representatives of the Republic of Philippines (I will write about this later), I found “What’s the FOSS”. It is a website by Katrina, a student at Philippines whose thesis is “to create an online information awareness campaign to educate the public about the FOSS movement.” (Alvarez, K. 2007, p. 8). And, she is doing an amazing job.

Most of the people are misinformed about Open Source Software, and its advantages. Katrina’s website focuses on that people that do not have vast experience in computing or are only end-users. If you are a government agency or any other institution pursuing OSS adoption, take a look of What’s the FOSS. I am sure you would learn from it.
